however, in these tests both gkrellm and gkrellmd debug code was running as root

i just ran gkrellmd as my user rather than root and the results are a bit different

ok i changed the user gkrellmd runs as.. tried it as my desktop user and group and changed 
the group to video.. same thing. no video card temps. yet gkrellm running as my local 
desktop users sees them fine.
