The nvidia-smi option was not in gkrellm 2.3.5 and is to be in gkrellm 2.3.6.
It's in a test tarball which Rio downloaded and you also can compile if you wish:

	http://members.dslextreme.com/users/billw/test/gkrellm-test.tar.bz2

I should get the 2.3.6 version out soon.
