Yes, it's possible to create a fund account in GC just like a bank
account (without referencing a symbol like a stock account) and specify
transactions with a commodity account manually. I guess the
unbalanced-account issue is probably caused by either
1. mistyped numbers (since doing the transactions manually) --
Solution: Check the numbers
2. and/or not including the transaction fees/taxes/commissions imposed
on the trades. Please take a look into your brokerage statements or
transaction history to find out the transaction fees associated with
the fund trades, instead of just looking at the position balances of
your accounts. -- Solution: Make the fee as an independent
transaction or as a split in your sell transaction (please see the
online GC guide for more details).
