Maybe they were accidentally balanced against a different account instead of that particular card? Try doing a Find (from the Accounts tab) on that expense account, do NOT filter by date, but this time, add an amount criteria. Unless you routinely pay a similar amount, that should provide a reasonable amount of transactions to sift through and find the right ones.
