Please see my previous post for the updated 'patch', which adds the image's file
descriptor to the raw format parser so that you have direct access to seek
within the file. Or at least that is the plan as it is unused right now and
image-load.c would need changes as well.

I am curious if perhaps the Canon photo info is stored the same as the
proprietary Makernote of EXIF? If so, it would make it not too trivial as I plan
to eventually add support to parse the Makernote for several camera brands.
