I am however have a problem building. I run ./autogen.sh and get a few warnings of "AC_ARG_PROGRAM invoked multiple times" and the one that says "underquoted definition of AM_PATH_GTK" that I always seem to get. Then everything rolls until ./configure is executed (as a part of autogen.sh). At this point it fails with: ./configure: line 6120: syntax error near unexpected token `EXIV2,' ./configure: line 6120: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(EXIV2, exiv2 >= 0.11,' Comparing the PKG_CHECK_MODULES stuff in GQViewE with that of other libraries / programs that use EXIV2 shows no apparent differences. I'm afraid that when it comes to autoconf et al, I'm utterly lost.
