gtk-2.4.4 + gqview-1.5.1 (gentoo, home)
gtk-2.4.0 + gqview-1.5.2 (RedHat 8, work)

But I found out something more:
* If you hide the file list in 'one-window-mode', no accels work
* But if you hide the file list while 'file-list-floating', they work as
   expected.
* But if you have the option 'remember tool state' selected and your
   last state was floating (thus you only have an image window) the
   accels are broken again at the next start.
