Me too!
A friend and I both just migrated to Ubuntu, and would both very much like to
have this function too. It was the default behaviour in Acdsee, and was a
configurable behaviour in XNview. Dbl-click is the fast method we're used to for
accessing fullscreen mode.

(On a related, but less urgent topic, I'd like the to option to disable the
preview-pane (image), so it's just displaying the treeview (tools) and thumbview
(files))
