I have not had this specific problem, but I have noticed
that, with gqview 1.3.7 and above, sorting takes a heck
of a lot longer than it used to. On my 1 Gig Athlon system,
to sort a directory with about a thousand images, it takes
about 30 seconds. Earlier versions of gqview used to sort
the same directory in about 1-2 seconds.
