Well, I suggested Andrew to release 4.8.29.1 instead of rebuilding the 
tarballs, but he didn't like the idea. He wants me to rebuild the tarballs 
for 4.8.29 and send out the announcement this weekend.

I don't care much either way, but I do find it quite annoying that distros 
nowadays are setting watchers pulling tags from GitHub without even 
considering release announcements (or the lack thereof).
