This only works for push notifications. It obviously doesn't work for comments and other activity, like what gets posted to mc-bugs@.

Also, I was actually *not* able to get it to work at all for the new repository. I enter the email address, click "Set up notifications", and the page just reloads. No error messages or anything. It seems to work with the old repository though o_O

How so? Can't you just paste this link into your RSS client?

I'll wait for feedback from Andrew and see if there's a low-effort solution, but I'm afraid there's no way around a custom action and SMTP.
