given that the new homepage appears to be largely ready, i'd suggest
switching over asap, and only having a few backlinks to trac (then
hosted as old.m-c.org) where necessary.

if re-homing trac is too laborious, the old page needs some quick hacks
to guide users to the new locations, unambiguously.

btw, i noticed that on the now live GH issue tracker some
blocking/blocked-by links still point to the mc-test repo. i think this
might be affecting tickets that were already closed at the time of the
migration.
