Abraham, Just to clarify: Did you test the cd's while a command is _still running_ in the subshell ? e.g. (1) # sleep 5 (2) then ctrol-o to the ncurses UI and change folder so somewhere else (3) change back to the subshell before sleep ends, and wait until it ends (4) then ctrol-o back to ncureses.
