C.   There is only one-way sync, from blue ncureses to the subshell, but not the other way.

Then you can do cd's in the subshell as you want, but ncurses panels will remain unchanged. I think we can get used to this ...

But as soon as you switch another time from ncurses to subshell, the sync will be done.

I believe this is the most intuitive.
