I have a couple problems with mrproject 0.5.1 (Debian). Some of these
are bugs that I'm sure are known, but thought I would state them anyway.
1) my gantt chart view doesn't show the ID column like the screenshots
on the web site. see: http://www.duckwing.ca/images/mrpg.png. CVS
version in screenshot maybe? Seems true of other screen shots on the web
site as well.
2) the Network view renders fonts poorly and there is currently no way
to tell MrP what to use. see http://www.duckwing.ca/images/mrpn.png. Any
ideas on this one? I note that this same file looks fine on my Laptop
running RedHat 7.3 and has virtually all the same fonts (I copied them
from my Debian system).
3) selecting a calendar date from the edit task is off my one whole
month. You choose Sept 30 for example to get Aug 30.
4) also in the edit task dialog, you can't directly edit the dates just
by typing over the day/month/year you want. it seems you *must* use the
calendar popup. I consider this a bug.
5) undo isn't there (or at least I couldn't undo a create subtask by
mistake, the undo was greyed out).
Feature requests:
1) love to save as HTML for publish to a web page
2) love to save as MS Project so other people can read my files (or any
other project mgmt software, like FastTrack Schedule which is what I
used to use on the Mac).
3) Love to be able to choose gantt chart colors and bar styles on a
per-item basis.
I'm a programmer and would love to impelement some of these, but I'm
sure they are already on the "todo" list. I'm also swamped with other
coding projects right now such as the one I'm using Mr. Project to
manage ;-)
