As far as I know, there is no such thing in mrproject right now.
But there are a few interesting ways:
1. if you have a look in the CVS repository of mrproject,
you'll see a plug-in that move the tasks in such a case.
2. i'm trying to write two new kind of views, and, if it works
well, I aim to propose this as a patch to the mrproject
team:
- a "resource allocation" view which look like that:
Resource 1 AAAAA BBBBBBBB
Task A AAAAA
Task B BBBBBBBB
Resource 2 CCCCCCCCC DDDDDDDDD
Task C CCCCCCCCC
Task D DDDDDDDDD
which will help to see overlaps for a resource
- a "time table" where, for each resource, and/or for each
project, you can have a view like that:
Resource 1 Resource 2
2003-01-01 Task A Task C
2003-01-02 Task A N/A
2003-01-03 N/A N/A
2003-01-04 Task B Task E
The first one is rather easy to create, so there are good chances
to have it rather soon.
The second one is more an improvement wish, I don't know yet how
to do it, but I'll try to find a good way in a second step.
3. I wrote a few months ago, for testing purpose, a small C program that
show you the second view in an HTML table. It's not in mrproject,
but can be used to check for overutilisation: when a resource is
supposed to do two things the same day, the day is displayed red,
when not, it's displayed green. When the day is a non-working day
for that resource, it's displayed yellow.
Of course, none of this stuff is "production stable", but if you
want to try it, do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Benjamin.
