XML formats

I am working on a small project where i am taking the saved mrproject xml file and then creating a dynamic php graph from it. However I am having difficulties getting the end date for a task. The dates in the xml file dont match the dates in the program. Does anybody know how I can calculate the end date from the data in the xml file?
