RE: Red Hat 8.0 - Update MrProject 0.6 to current

Tried the $ rpm --rebuild libgsg*.rpm only from root (# rpm --rebuild
libgsg*.rpm). it failed with "--rebuild: unknown option".

Looking in the the book "Red Hat Linux 8 Bible" I find a "==rebuilddb"
option for the rpm command.  From my download directory
(/download/mrproject/) I issued the command "rpm --rebuilddb
libgfs-1.6.0-5.src.rpm".  It took a ling time.

Could not find any resulting binary RPMS.  (re. Instead of installing the
.src.rpm, rebuild it, and install the resulting binary RPMS:)

Then I did"
  rpm -ivh libgnomeprint22....
  rpm -ivh libgnomeprintui22....
  rpm -ivh --nodeps libmrproject-0.9.1-cfi.i386.rpm
  rpm -ivh --nodeps mrproject-0.9.1-cfi.i386.rpm

Then I went into the GUI (gnome) and tried to run mrproject (Start (RedHat)
| Office | Project Management).  Nothing happened.

Then, I went to alternate plan "B".

   rpm -ivh libgsf-1.4.0-cfi.i386.rmp


The command "rpm -qa | grep libgsf" now returns "libgsf-1.4.0-cf1".

Went into the GUI and MrProject works and prints.

Question:  Should I continue to try to update libgsf to 1.6.0 ???

He started with a src.rpm which will produce a much better rpm than
checkinstall.

Instead of installing the .src.rpm, rebuild it, and install the
resulting binary RPMS:

$ rpm --rebuild libgsg*.rpm
