I think Edmund raises some good points to keep in mind
as development proceeds.

I agree.  Whenever several resources are assigned to a
task, one should be made "primary".  This primary
resource is the person who agrees to take the
responsibility for achieving the deliverable.

That depends on what you use for motivation.  ;)

I agree.  Goldratt's TOC (Theory of Constraints), and
its impact on Project Management is explored more
deeply in "Critical Chain".  In this book, he talks
about targeting a completion date for each task that
is shorter than estimated, and applying that extra
time to a 'Project Buffer'.  Some tasks will be
accomplished by the shortened target date, an others
won't, but the overall effect is to build flexibility
into the plan.

I think there is great opportunity to create some
tools in MrProject that will assist PM's in this area.
