SynCE - failed new open addressbook

Please Advise on what to check

I was trying to sync dell axim with evolution. Before I had it synced
with symbian cell phone. And it kinda worked - I've got all my
contacts/calendar synced between PDA and evo. But then it stopped doing
anything and started reporting in multisync window that it can't open
addressbook... I struggled a bit trying to figure out why but with no
luck. So I've decided to reinitiate everything: 
- removed ~/.evolution, ~/.multisync and
  ~/.kde/share/apps/raki/yya_pocket.cfg

- rebooted

- connected PDA, said to delete old 2nd partnership for this PC so it
  created a fresh new

- started evolution, added a single entry to contacts

- started multisync and created pair SynCE -> Evolution to Sync
  everything

but it doesn't do anything and complained again but differently :-/
