Hi Frederic,
I am wondering if perhaps this may be a hardware issue, not for Windows,
but for Linux. I have a p3 Coppermine 850Mhz with 512 Mb RAM and on
board Lan, Sound and video and USB1(3 ports), and a PCI Card with 2
ports of USB 2.0. Perhaps there is a hardware clash? (just a stretch).

Here is what is installed:

lbusb0.1_4-0.1.12-3mdv
lbusb0.1_4-devel-0.1.12-3mdv
evolution-pilot-2.20.0-5mdv2007.1.i586
gnome-pilot2.0.15-2mdv2007.1.i586
gnome-pilot-conduits-2.0.15mdv2007.1.i586
libgnome-pilot2-devel-2.0.15-1mdv2007.1.i586
pilot-link 0.12.1-1mdv2007.1.i586
libpisock9-devel-0.12.1-1mdv2007.1.i586
udev-106-3mdv2007.1.i586

Hope this helps in the diagnosis.

Let me know if I need to list anything else, please.

Thanks for your efforts. I feel like Robinson Crusoe, and I do
appreciate your perseverance on my behalf.
