Planner-list Work units

Hi, First post this this list.

Is it possible to have a work unit entry less than an hour, or fractions 
of an hour such as 0.5?

I have seen that the units in the xml file are in seconds and manually 
changing an entry to 1800 appears to make a task last half an hour in 
the Gantt display.

Is there a way to make that entry through planner rather than hacking 
the xml file?
