Mandrake 10.0 problems

Dear all,
I have installed pybliographer on several Linux systems, but this time I do 
not see what I'm doing wrong -- so please excuse me because I'm afraind I am 
dealing with a very obvious problem I cannot see...
I am on Mandrake 10.0. 

(1) Recode is version 3.6.6
I had recode.patch from a previous installation. Put in in /usr/bin where 
Mandrake installed recode. Correct?

(2) Installed python-bibtex.

(3) Tried to install version 1.2.4:
pybliographer-1.2.4-1.rhfdr_core_1.noarch.rpm
pybliographer-1.2.4-1.rhfdr_core_2.noarch.rpm

Error message: missing pygtk2-libglade[>= 2.0.0]
But this is installed -- version pygtk2.0-2.0.0

What did I do wrong?

(4) Tried to install version 1.1.93

I cannot understand all these "/home/goetz/tmp" paths. I think I should set 
some environment variable, but I am not a Python programmer so I really do 
not know to do.
