Yes, cite is for lyx. For emacs, if you select a list of references in
pyblio, do Ctrl-C to copy and do a Ctrl-Y in emacs, you'll get the list
of record ids.

Regarding openoffice, http://bibus-biblio.sourceforge.net/ has a
mechanism to interface with openoffice, but so far I had no time to
invest on understanding the python bindings on oo.org's extension
language... If somebody is interested, or already has some experience
with oo.org regarding to scripting, this is certainly a good starting
point. Feel free to contact me.

There is a "misfeature" that can lead to this result: you have to select
a Style, as there is none selected by default. Pyblio should at least warn the
user...
