Well, that's what the computer is for, isn't it?

(i) One first, simple use case is an extension of the local  
search, where you start an action for one or more of the items  
returned, namely Viewing it.  This boils mostly down to managing  
viewer applications (anybody interested?).

(ii) The more difficult part is extending the import -- which  
then has to cater not only for the references, but also for the  
ressources.  I can imagine that this will take some time to do  
it correctly.

Thus, besides creating a Holdings module, I see the following  
tasks ahead:
 (1) Editor module: addimg a holdings page, assisting with data  
entry (of filenames)
 (2) Replacing the Index module with a more flexible ListView,  
e.g. to allow indication of import status or availibility of  
associated ressources, etc.
 (3) Import: implement and use an add_holdimgs function
 (4) Import UI:
 -- add download action, if an URL is given
 -- add import from directory, i.e. given a directoey (or file  
list), examine each item in turn to catalog it

There is no -devel list, I'm afraid, but an IRC meeting every  
wednesday at 2100 CET (GMT+1) on #pyblio at freenode.
Pleased to meet you there, if you can manage it.

There are (still) many opportunities for adding functionality to  
Pybliographer :) so you would be sure to find something  
rewarding.
