Thank you. I was close (i.e. browsing ftp.suse.com) but didnt find it. Now I 
know.

In the end I compiled python-bibtex then pybliographer pfrom source and it 
works great. Made my first LaTeX article last night using pybliographer to 
manage the references. Great software.
