problems connecting to pubmed

Hello,

I hope this has not come up often, but I could not find anything related in
the archives.

When i try to access pubmed with pybliographic it fails and I can see the
following message in the console:

Does anyone have an idea of what's going on? Are the network settings
misconfigured?

I'm using Mandrake 10.1, pybliographer 1.2.4, python 2.3
