I've just released sth that should interest you :-) I need to write a
proper announcement, but in short:

Get this package:

  <http://cheeseshop.python.org/packages/source/p/pybliographer/pybliographer-1.3.2.tar.gz>

...and have a look at the doc/examples directory. It does exactly what
you want. In the doc/ directory, you'll also find a short manual and an
reference guide.

This is a development version of pybliographer 1.3. It is _not_ a
replacement for the current 1.2 branch, but is rather oriented for
developers that need to transform data. So, it behaves like a proper
python library, but so far has no GUI (there is one under work, splitted
in a separate package). You can install it independently of your pyblio
1.2 install.
