Thanks!  I'll be anxiously watching for some comprehensive  
documentation that clearly lays out how to use this... the examples  
should get me through the basics of what i want to do, but I'll have  
to look a bit more closely for how to do things like convert custom  
fields like URL to an html link when generator outputs HTML.

I'm glad to hear you're taking this direction with this!  I think  
this could not only be a great graphical front-end, but also a de- 
facto way for python users to parse and manipulate their .bib files.
