bibtex @string aliases and pybliographic

Hello everybody,

I'm willing to handle my existing bibtex files with pybliographer. I
used to have a seperate file with all the author names, looking like
this :

@string{and             = " and "}
@string{xiong           = "Xiong, Youlun"}
@string{sanger          = "Sanger, D."}
@string{kerr            = "Kerr, D."}

and another one with the actual bib refs.

@Article{xiong93-geometric_modelling_of_bounded_and_frictional_grasps,
  author = 	 xiong#and#sanger#and#kerr,
  title = 	 {Geometric. modelling of bounded and frictional grasps},
  journal = 	 {Robotica},
  year = 	 1993,
  volume =	 11,
  pages =	 {185-192}
}

Can I keep this way of doing with pybliographic, or should I merge
them ?
