Thanks for the help. I must say that I find bonobo > pretty cool :-) Great :-) I'm assuming that your lifecycle problem is related to the nautilus bug until further evidence to the contrary. Also - you probably want to make use of the new bonobo_control_life* API (bonobo-control.h) in Gnome 2.2 - that helps making robust components much easier [ they should tolerate sudden container death, and allow cleanup / component shutdown ].
