Hello, I've let myself be baited into installing Gnome 2.4 on my Mac. Some people claimed Gnome was really a desktop for the clueless, that UserLinux already excisted. That my past experiences were unhappy coincidences. I want to believe :-) However, my experience this far is that I still haven't found out several crucial things: 1) how do I install; 2) where is the installer; 3) do I need a separate partition or hard disk; 4) what do I need to do before installing Gnome. So far, all ftp sites told me to look for non existing directories, namely gnome/stable/ gnome/latest/stable/ Everything you can tell me that gets me a clue in those four points is welcome. So far I've downloaded all manuals and have read the installation documents, have searched through all download mirrors and well... here I am, still clueless.
