Cross Compiling

I know this has probably already been asked, but most of the errors I 
received during my attempt at building GNOME are related to libtool.  I 
am planning on building a cross compiler to Darwin anyway, and I was 
just wondering if anybody had tried that approach.  Any feedback is 
welcome.
