	I've applied this, changed it around a little and spent a good deal of
time fixing bugs it turned up with the merge files stuff in the markup
backend. Its ready to go in now, but unfortunately my ISP has decided to
pick now as a good time to route my packets in a loop around Amsterdam
or something. I'll commit soon.
