The librsvg homepage http://librsvg.sourceforge.net/ seems to be very
unmaintained since a few years.
For instance, the News section is out of date.
Also, it says:
"It is lightweight and portable, requiring only libxml and libart
at a minimum"
But it seems libart is not used anymore, replaced with cairo I guess.
Also, there seems to be a hard dependency on gdk-pixbuf, or gtk before
gdk-pixbuf was separated.
I'm building a system that generates PDF server side, and publish to
web. For this we use Cairo's PDFSurface, and I thought it would be a
good idea to use librsvg to include SVGs. We don't need Cairo's X
surfaces, nor do we need pixbufs.
So three questions:
It there more updated information somewhere else?
Is is possible to build without gtk and gdk-pixbuf?
Should I be using some other library instead of librsvg?
Thanks,
Oskar
