Could anyone > help with that? Well, I just tested it on openSUSE 11.2 using ooo-build (3.2.1 beta), and the VL Gothic font shows bold letters just fine. I checked it in slideshow mode as well, and it looks fine. I've also checked using several other Japanese fonts (IPA Gothic, Mikachan), with the same result. BTW you mentioned that you reproduced it on Fedora. AFAIK Fedora doesn't ship ooo-build but a build that's pretty close to the upstream build (plus patches). So, the fact that it is reproducible on Fedora means that the problem may be outside of OOo. Attached is a screenshot of what I see.
