If I understand correctly, you use the Debian OOo package that is based
on Go-oo[1].

The Go-oo build includes many additional fixes and improvements against
the plain upstream build[2].

If the problem is visible only in the Go-oo build, it must be fixed by
the Go-oo developers. They temporary use the Novell bugzilla[3].

If the problem is the same also in the upstream build, you might report
it to the upstream issuezilla[4] so that the upstream developers are
aware of it as well.

You know, many people report many problems, so the developers must sort
them by priorities. It is hard to say whether the upstream or Go-oo
developers would fix this particular bug faster.

You would need to download and install the upstream build and try the
same steps with it.
