Search for png in your Mandrake 8.2 channel (Probably Red
Carpet would have found it itself though if it was there?).

If that doesn't help. Go to www.rpmfind.net enter libpng.so.2
in the search box, click search, enter Mandrake in the system
box, hit search and then one of the active mirrors. It'll
show you where to get a rpm that provides that file.

Hmm, an interface from Red Carpet to rpmfind could be an 
interesting addition....

I don't know, but the same was true when I went to install Opera's Opera
6 final. I guess Opera's RPMs are labeled differently to Ximian's 
somehow. Frankly I wouldn't bother installing 5.05 though, I'd
get 6 final from Opera or wait until Ximian distribute it.
