Problem with SuSe 8.2 and RC

I've been trying to get RC running on my box (SuSe 8.2) for a while
without luck. The rpms install correctly but, when I try to run
red-carpet, I get the following errors:

'/usr/share/pixmaps/red-carpet/console.png'

I have no idea why it's having a problem with png files, as I can
display pngs in Phoenix with no problem (including this one). Is this
error message masking some other problem?
