This is when updating *any* package, or just one package in particular
that you keep trying? There may be a dependency issue with the
particular package you're trying to update; details of what package(s)
you're trying to update might be useful.  If you're having this problem
with all packages, as well as installs of previously uninstalled
software, it's probably a problem with your rpm database.  "rpm
--rebuildb" might help.
