Re: stuck on "updating dependencies"

it happens when i try to upgrade to evolution
1.4.6.0.200404120700-0.snap.ximain.6.1 or the associated evolution-pilot
package.  i was able to upgrade several other packages w/out incident. 
once i close the "resolving dependencies" box, and close red carpet, the
rcd process jumps up to 98% cpu utilization and stays there.  it won't
let me kill it, i have to do a hard reboot to get things back to normal.

i have been upgrading snapshots of evo w/out any problems, as late as
march 18th.

the only software i've installed recently is firestarter, which i am not
running.  i don't see how that would prevent certain packages from
updating, and let others, or why rcd would lock up my system.
