RCD Error Trying to connect to another server

I am trying to connect to an internal server that has the new Red Carpet
installed and the RCD service is running. When I try to connect using
the correct ROOT password, I get this error:

Unable To Connect To The Daemon
'<ProtocolError for <servername>:505/RPC2:401 Unauthorized>'

Now, the internal network has full access to all the ports needed on the
server so the firewall should not be a problem. Can someone give me any
clues as to what else needs to be done for this to work?
