Re: Termianl Font Woes - still garbeled

Keith has brought up a subject I was too timid to broach.   Since I've upgraded to the FIRST Developer Snapshot the Gnome terminal is extremely unreadable.   Since at least two of us (I have no doubt many more) have this problem I'd like to see a discussion and if possible a notice that this has been fixed in a future snapshot.

  This doesn't seem to make any difference.  For instance, I'm typing this 
  on what I *think* is Lucida Console, but the "m"s look like n's.  I don't 
  know if it makes any difference, but I haven't enabled AA using the 
  environment variable for gnome.  (I hate that the pager labels take up to 
  rows.)

  None of the non-proportional fonts look good at any size.

  Aside from general grainyness, and the fact that everything seems extra 
  bold, all the wide characters are truncated: Ws look like Vs, Ms look like 
  Ns, and so on.  For instance, I'm sending this to what looks like:
