The gnome-vfs-extras you have installed are for gnome-vfs not gnome-vfs2 which nautilus 2.x uses as well as most other gnome 2 apps. In order to get smb: to work in nautilus, I had to find a gnome-vfs-extras2 package (which was quite easy). I can't remember the url I found one at, but it works for me now that I have that installed, theres not that much functionallity to it though, it can't mount a smb share, only browse it, and (at least on my setup) I can't even copy files over, what I end up with is a 0 byte file, not quite sure why, but thats what happens. If you looking for a tool to browse/mount smb shares, I suggest xfsamba, its part of the xfce desktop, but works pretty well (icons suck) not as good as being integrated into nautilus, but its more functional at this point. Of course after you get it mounted you can browse with nautilus like any other dir. heres the url: http://linux.imp.mx/xfsamba/ good luck with the smb stuff. douglas _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com _______________________________________________ gnome-2-snapshots maillist - [email protected] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/gnome-2-snapshots
