I'm am using Gnome 2 > Snaps from 8/14/02. Also there is a lack of color coding (eg > directories) - is this related? Double-spacing might be related to the font metrics. I rearranged large chunks of the font handling code yesterday and the code path the terminal takes to find out how large text got goofed up a bit. It should be fixed in CVS and in the next snapshot. It should be handling colors just fine, though. Is the shell alias for ls to 'ls --color=tty' not being set? Is the LS_COLORS environment variable being set?
