Yes that error happened to me except I was using 
control-center-1.5.13.-1.ximian.2.   No really major problem after using 
rpm -Uvh

control-center2-2.0.2.92.0.200209251237-0.snap.ximian.1 --force.   Upon reboot everything seems to be OK - at least the desktop is still there which was my greatest fear from preivous snapshots.   

Is this actually a branch of gnome-2.1x and if so will that substantially delay any "formal" presentation of Ximian Gnome-2 (ie from a full installation from the website??
