Going for the weird bug prize... =} Running RH 7.3, gnome 2 latest ximian snapshot, sawfish and xscreensaver... One issue I'm seeing in both gnome 1.4 and 2.0... When I go to screensaver and/or suspend my laptop... when I come back off suspend, I have a series of problems... 1) The screen basically blanks out and refuses to accept info. I tried killing the specific screensaver from another terminal ctrl-alt-F6 that had been triggered which had no effect. Killing xscreensaver and then switching back to the F7 window causes a forced gnome logout. 2) Probably sawfish related but this type of behaviour can then cause situation where the desktop semi-resets and windows cannot be moved at all with their titlebar. Killing sawfish and restarting it has no effect on this behaviour . 3) Just when I was about to switch to KDE... a reboot cleared up the problem, though a previous reboot had not. Anyone got any ideas? Does this need to be filed as a big and if so, how? Would metacity perhaps help this problem... ciao!
