ok.

so, the tinderbox clients build gnome all day long, and if the build 
succeeds (green), they're put in a "special" location.

a cron job that fires off at 4 am boston time tries to push the most 
recent green build to the red carpet servers and ftp.gnome.org.

however, this can fail: if the new packages have a lower version number 
than what's on the red carpet server, then the upgrade path isn't ok 
and the packages don't get pushed (which was the case with the current 
builds).

if a fixed version builds today i'll try to push it.
