Never mind. Found the solution after googled - reboot. It would be nice if I don't need to suspect that I need to reboot whenever an application is not working. I'm glad to recover my emails. Killing X 2. Killing any leftover evolution-* processes that were running 3. Removing /tmp/orbit-USER 4. Restarting X and evolution. Hope this helps!
