The only license change that followed from the purchase was that
Connector became Free.

This is the issue on RH8.0 (and 7.3 before it).  Its Gnome is
sufficiently dated that installing the current stable Evolution by
itself causes problems for other software, and the best solution is to
install XD2, which provides sufficiently updated versions of that
software as to avoid the attendant problems.

XD2 is already an option on 8.0, as Hal indicated.

Mono is just using the same installer as that used by XD2 and Evolution
(where it's available independent of XD2).
